DasCoin Launch Event Hits Switzerland

Launch of DasCoin Minting

DasCoin, WebWallet, minting process and permissioned blockchain to be officially launched in Zurich.

DasCoin advocates and license holders will meet on Friday March 31st for the launch of DasCoin minting.

The event marks a major milestone for DasCoin, spearheaded by CEO Michael Mathias and marketing itself as the future of digital currency.

This is a monumental milestone for DasCoin and mainstream cryptocurrency acceptance.

Michael Mathias, CEO, DasCoin

Unlike other popular digital currencies, DasCoin is aimed squarely at the mainstream. Licensees are being invited to participate in the value created from what's being called "the next generation of the internet".

DasCoin utilizes a series of Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks. Built into the currency's blockchain, these checks follow a series of standardized guidelines aimed at verifying customer information and preventing money laundering.

The same techniques are employed by banks and financial institutions worldwide and ensure that DasCoin is fully compliant with all government regulations.

The upcoming event will see more than 300 attendees travel to Switzerland from across the globe.

Following a day of seminars and training at the Renaissance Zurich Tower Hotel, the event moves to the spectacular Dolder Grand Hotel.

Dating back to 1899, the Dolder Grand enjoys spectacular views of the Alps and Lake Zurich. One of Zurich's most highly-rated venues, the 5-star hotel boasts a world renowned art collection and a Michelin-starred restaurant.

Here, attendees are set to enjoy a black tie cocktail reception and four-course gourmet dinner. Later, a special presentation is to be followed by the main event: the much-anticipated launch of the DasCoin blockchain.

With this comes the commencement of DasCoin minting. The minting process works by converting stored computer network capacity into stored value, or DasCoins.

This network, the "DasNet", is part of DasCoin's wider financial ecosystem, which also includes WebWallet and DasFinancial. This ecosystem, along with the permissioned blockchain on which the currency operates, is unique to DasCoin. Both have been developed with an emphasis on security, performance, scalability and accountability.

"This is a monumental milestone for DasCoin and mainstream cryptocurrency acceptance" said Michael Mathias speaking of the upcoming event.

DasCoin's aim is to provide a viable, day-to-day alternative to the Euro, US dollar and other fiat currencies, for both online and offline transactions.

Among the names behind DasCoin and its ecosystem are John Pretto of NetLeaders and George Sarcevich of WebWallet

Sarcevich is a Princeton University graduate and experienced finance and technology executive. Prior to his involvement with DasCoin, the WebWallet Director spent 10 years on Wall Street working in investment banking.

Pretto is an entrepreneurial technologist with a background in marketing and operations, based in Las Vegas. He has served as CTO, COO and VP for a number of successful technology, media and marketing enterprises.

Alongside CEO Michael Mathias, both Sarcevich and Pretto will be in attendance at the Zurich event.

Tickets have been made available exclusively to DasCoin licensees and are expected to sell out. Ticket prices start from €99. Licensees wishing to purchase tickets can do so from their NetLeaders back office. Learn more at NetLeaders.com/events/zurich-2017
